Tis the season to get married!!

Spring is just around the corner and people are getting married left and right. Friends I've known to be paired up since college are finally engaging in the business of getting hitched. I couldn't be happier for them.

This fall in October I will be traveling to Japan to photograph my friend Mimi's wedding. A three day event - I am so excited for her. She is going to be a beautiful bride, and her husband is a very lucky man. The images will be used for a featured magazine covering events.

I've only done mostly 2nd photographer in weddings, but I feel pretty confident to do it on my own now. I will be investing in a new camera this year - Nikon D700 and hopefully a telephoto, and definitely some strobes & backdrop.

Are you getting married in Chicago this year? Write me a message to discuss availability and rates. Do it soon before I get booked!

Back in the States
I am now back in the States. A ton of photographs. Memoir galore, closer bonds, friends, and a new story.

You can find my favorite images from the trip on my flickr.
Guatemala 2010
In January 13-21 of 2010, I will be traveling to Guatemala on a photographic escapade with three lovely, wonderful and talented ladies. A couple of weeks back I found a great deal to travel to my native country on travelocity.com. I had already gone visit family this past spring/summer, but my stay then was two weeks, spent in Chiquimula in dry 100° F + weather, and boyfriend/apartment/living issues back here in Chicago. I could have more fun, if I had planned it with time, without the unstable romantic relationship stress I was experiencing. I also decided to go bold this time, determined to leave the past where it belongs, I wanted to go everywhere but I didn't want to do it alone. I needed my favorite photo girl friend with me, Stephanie Bassos. after sending her a facebook message followed by an enthusiastic affirmative reply, her friend and co-worker, Kelly Jung, who i still haven't had the pleasure of meeting in person, yet! wanted to come... the more the merrier, I said. We realized we needed a fourth person traveling with us, so then we asked the wonderful and talented Gina Cella. Of course she said yes. On Wednesday January 13th, who also happens to be Gina's birthday, and 10 days after mine (go capricorns!)- we will be arriving to Guatemala City, embarking on a well anticipated adventure to places like Antigua, Lago Atitlan, Cobán, Tikal, etc. We will keep you posted with colorful photographs on my flickr gallery.
