Wendy Alas Photography
Determined to find myself and purpose, with a remote knack for the visual arts and adventurist spirit, it was perhaps inevitable that during my international traveling adventures as a teenager and young adult, I discovered my passion for (documentary) photography. After high school, I packed my bags and drove across the country to attend a top photography school - Brooks Institute of Photography and then in 2005, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Journalism.
I am here to visually document life around the globe, learn, inspire, teach and most importantly raise awareness about social and environmental issues.
This is the way I find myself at the right place, at the right time... through my left eye.

I am: Guatemalan, born & raised; a Nikon left-eye shooter; a macbook user; an explorer of abandoned places; international traveler; adventurist; vagabond; self-portrait artist; music enthusiast; friend, daughter, sister, animal lover, dog owner, and winner of... life!
